Taking boring out of form filling

Filling out forms is a chore: it’s time-consuming, prone to typos, and generally frustrating. Microblink tackled this by developing the BlinkID Web API, which fills in forms for you by scanning ID information with a quick photo, removing the need to type every detail. Now, across industries like banking, insurance, telecom, and travel, users can submit flawless data with just a tap, making form-filling truly effortless.

When Microblink approached us to create an animated explainer for BlinkID, we were thrilled. As users ourselves, we knew firsthand how much easier their technology made life, from bill payments to booking holidays, all with a single snap of our smartphone camera. This experience inspired us as we designed the animation’s layout and illustrated each object and screen to communicate BlinkID’s ease and convenience.

We chose a relatable, tech-savvy character who values simplicity and speed—a millennial who wouldn’t think twice about banking from a beach. This approach helped us build a script that could be engaging with or without sound and work seamlessly in both short and long formats, whether viewed on the web or displayed on big screens at conferences.

The finished video was a hit, shown at global events like MWC Barcelona and Money 20/20, where Microblink showcased how their API revolutionizes customer experience with a seamless, typo-free form-filling process. Working on this project felt like giving back to a solution that had already improved our daily lives—and now, it’s helping others too.
